VISTA, CA – July 6, 2004 – Martin Stuart, Ph.D., has been named Vice President of Sales at Aperio Technologies, a leading provider of automated digital scanning products and services for microscope-based diagnostics.

Stuart’s previous positions include an extensive scientific tenure with the 3M Company, followed by more than 17 years of international sales and marketing management and business development experience.  Most recently, Dr. Stuart was Vice President of Sales and Services for Entropia Inc., a desktop grid computing company focused on the Life Sciences market.  Prior to Entropia, he served as Vice President Business Development and Vice President Sales and Marketing for Tripos Inc. a multi-faceted discovery research organization serving the pharmaceutical and biotech market. Dr. Stuart received his B.Sc. degree in physics and mathematics from London and a Ph.D. in the physics of thin films from the University College of North Wales, UK.
